Robert Hughes 

BSc (Hons) Dip LA CMLI

 

Rob is a director at Tyler Grange and is responsible for the Birmingham office and managing the team in the Midlands. Rob specialises in landscape planning and has experience of a diverse range of projects across the UK including urban extensions, residential, commercial and renewable energy schemes. These have included those within designated and historic landscapes. Robs thorough and analytical approach allows for the balanced consideration of relevant issues, resulting in comprehensive work that informs the development of proposals, supports them through the planning process and is defensible at Inquiry.

 

Notable project involvements have included achieving success at appeal for residential development at Midsomer Norton, Somerset for Taylor Wimpey plc; Undertaking a Green Belt Review of land surrounding Cambridge, including the development of a robust, measurable and replicable methodology; and landscape masterplanning inputs and the preparation of an LVIA / ES Chapter to support an application for residential development at North Newbury, West Berkshire. 

 

Rob is a LI Pathway Mentor and provides support and training to the landscape team. Outside of his work at Tyler Grange Rob is actively involved within his local community and sits on the board of Governors at the village school.
