South Rings Business Park
A commercial development comprising Class B1, B2 and B8 with associated access, car parking and landscaping was proposed for a site on the edge of existing South Rings Business Park, Bamber Bridge.
Tyler Grange was approached to provide arboricultural and ecological consultancy advice to inform a full planning application for re-development of the site.
We under took a suite of protected species surveys including badger, great crested newts, bats, tree climbing surveys and reptiles.
Tree survey and associated design and mitigation inputs were also prepared in accordance with BS5837 by way of a detailed tree survey and full assessment of scheme impacts. The ecological and arboricultural findings were used to inform the design and masterplanning process to ensure that adverse impacts were addressed at the earliest opportunity. It was important to consider the impacts of above and below ground constraints to ensure that not only the rooting environment of trees was safeguarded, but also to address the potential shading and future growth of existing trees and the associated impacts upon future site users.
Working closely with NJL Planning Consultants we produced reports that enabled approval of the application in December 2014.
