John Moorcroft

John was the first appointed of the northern ecology team shortly after the foundation of Tyler Grange in 2010 and is an ecology associate based in the Wilmslow office.

John has developed an excellent working relationship with developer and planners alike, pursuing development opportunities in the northwest of England.  He has a long established reputation based on over 26 years experience of environmental work in both public and private sectors, with a long background in countryside management and has established good working relationships with local authority ecologists in the North, Northwest and North Wales.

Notable projects have been Northwich Meadows, where planning consent for circa 240 dwellings, together with the creation of some 40  ha of low intensity grazing pasture and meadow; the writing of an ecological management plan and associated surveys for Clumber Park, a National Trust Property of some 600 ha; Horwich Vision, providing ecology consultancy services for obtaining planning consent for a mixed use development and associated habitat management on the adjacent Red Moss SSSI.  These developments demonstrate Tyler grange's commitment to facilitating high quality sustainable developments which deliver, substantial biodiversity benefits.

While heading the ecology team in the northwest John continues to be actively involved with all the northwest ecology projects and in working with colleagues to ensure a first class service is always provided.
