Hazel Murrells

BSc (Hons) MSc MCIEEM CEnv PIEMA

 

Hazel joined Tyler Grange in 2016 as a Senior Ecologist and has now been promoted to Associate. Her role is to assist in the development of the ecology team in the Cotswolds office.

 

Hazel has over nine years’ experience in environmental consultancy and has worked on projects throughout their lifecycle from the pre-planning survey requirements through to ecological supervision during construction. She is an experienced ecological surveyor with a license to survey great crested newts in both England and Wales but also has skills in project and budget management, client liaison, stakeholder engagement, staff management and report writing.


Hazel has manged the ecological inputs on a range of schemes including residential development, commercial/mixed use development, renewable energy and water infrastructure including pipelines and flood defences. This has included co-ordinating with large multidisciplinary team and managing a wide range of stakeholders.


Hazel is also a qualified ecologist under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and has experience of working on large scale rail improvement schemes.
