Aaron Grainger

BSc Msc MCIEEM

 

Aaron joined Tyler Grange in 2016 as an Associate Ecologist and is now Director. His role is to lead and develop the ecology team in the London office.

 

Aaron has nearly ten years’ experience in the environmental sector; having worked at both Natural England and the Forestry Commission, before becoming an ecological consultant. Aaron is a general protected species ecologist, and specialises in ornithology. His key skills include ecological impact assessment, project management and the provision of ecological input into project design/masterplanning. Aaron provides clear and pragmatic advice and is committed to ensuring that his team deliver an excellent service for all clients.

His project experience covers a wide range of development types, including commercial, large-scale residential schemes, on-shore renewables, and infrastructure. Most recently, Aaron has worked on the environmental statement and subsequent consultation for the first phase of the High Speed Two rail scheme. He has also acted as the lead ecologist on environmental appraisal work for the proposed routes to Manchester and Leeds.

Aaron maintains a keen interest in ornithology and has spent time as a volunteer bird ringer at
Wicken Fen Nature Reserve in Cambridgeshire.
